Always with the main goal of promoting the accessibility of Atlantic salmon fishing in our rivers, it is from a simple question that the idea of producing this film was born: "Can we bring someone who has never gone fishing and have them catch a salmon in less than a week?" While the answer was fairly mixed and certainly a serious challenge on many levels, we had no choice but to try.
July 2020 - after months of preparation, we were leaving for a week in Gaspésie to try out the experience. To maximize our chances of success, we set up team of warriors who were not afraid to get wet.
Three camera ninjas who took care of the shoot (Northand Films), Saumon Quebec, us, a photographer (Émile David), an editor for Beside magazine (Marie-Charles Pelletier), JP Tessier (our outstanding guide) and Lydiane St-Onge (our neophyte fisherwoman).
And the final result is simply a punch in the face of emotion, beauty, humanity and authenticity. And clearly, the visibility and recognition obtained with this project throughout Quebec and even outside the country is beyond everyone's expectations.

If you still haven’t seen the film, it’s not too late to watch it, but it’s no surprise that you will see Lydiane successfully catch her first salmon. A BIG MOTHERFUCKING salmon as she puts it so well. And the whole thing certainly did not happen without dedication and determination.
It was the hard work and iron will of a tight-knit team that led to this emotional outcome. A perfect scenario with a solid story.
